The second in my Hair in the Campaigns featurette (and last before my busy little head hits the pillow for today) comes from Lanvin, whose slogan accessories have become a staple feature in editorials showcasing the season's free-spirited, rebellious side. So this image comes as no surprise...

The hair for Lanvin's print ads was styled by session legend Guido Palau, and I chose the above image to exemplify the series because of its amplified drama and equally amplified texture. I don't expect girls will be rushing to salons for faux 'fros in their dozens, but if there's any inspiration to be taken, it's from the campaign as a whole, where Guido styled a good range of looks, including the following:






What these images offer to women is the allure and power of the femme fatale and the freedom of expression to exercise that in their own way. So afro to ringlets, beehive to bob; the story is told in the conviction - a style that says "if you want it come and get it, but it's on my terms".
